Some burns can leave you with a scar for the rest of your life. There are some things you can do during the healing process to help minimise the appearance of your burn scar:

You should try to avoid exposing the damaged skin to direct sunlight as this may cause it to blister. It’s especially sensitive during the first year after the injury.†
